If you are visiting the area on holiday or for a day out, you couldn’t have chosen better! Bridlington Old Town is just one incredible town surrounded by outstandingly beautiful places, sights and attractions.

Yorkshire is a vast and glorious region of striking contrasts, from enigmatic moor-land to the golden sands and glimmering seas of the coastline, in between, villages and towns that retain the character and welcome of old as well as modern, cosmopolitan cities. Bridlington though is a character town with a long history, long beaches and warm locals.

Here in the charming Old Town, little of the appearance has changed and each of the buildings you see, has a history of its own and a story to tell. Bridlington Old Town offers a charm and welcome from days gone by, with just the right amount of cosmopolitan verve that has come with the visitors who discovered this lovely area over the years.

Bridlington has the coastal beauty of Yorkshire, two award winning beaches and promenades packed with fun, as well as a picturesque, bustling harbour; Bridlington is a great place to visit. The town itself is full of attractions from fun-fairs to quiet places where you can sit and watch the world go by. All the ingredients for the perfect seaside resort plus Yorkshire charm.

Bridlington is a holiday heaven that caters to all age groups with a variety of attractions, entertainment, shopping and dining.  Bridlington, like many towns and villages on Yorkshire’s coast, has an incredible and rich history, built around its harbour. This is still a working harbour that serves as a constant reminder of Britain's maritime heritage. Fishing vessels still come and go to the sound of seagulls calling the catch along with pleasure craft transporting happy holiday makers. Unique too are the Cobble Boats, still around and based on an ancient design that dates back to the fifth century.

Bridlington’s 900 year old harbour dates back at least as far as the Romans and is as lively and exciting today. Naturally, the seafood available in Bridlington is fresh, local and superb, as any seafood dish here at Ellie Mae’s will prove.

For pleasure seekers, the Yorkshire Belle offers one or two hour cruises to Flamborough Head, or you can enjoy evening trips complete with music and refreshments that reveal the beauty of the coast as the lights shimmer on the sea at night.

With theatres, historic sites, castles, stately homes, indoor entertainment centres, sports centres, golf courses, fishing and beautiful gardens nearby, Bridlington is a haven that opens the doors to all sorts of holiday experiences….and of course, divine dining!
